The Local Police Headquarters of Sassari hosted the presentation of "On the road" , the awareness campaign on the dangers associated with driving under the influence of alcohol and narcotics .

At the press conference, the first for the new mayor Giuseppe Mascia, data on road accidents in the municipality were also presented , taking into account that the Local Police detects 95% of accidents. The growth in accidents continues: 1,330 in 2023, +6.49% compared to the previous year and the first five months of the current year also confirm the trend.

Commander Gianni Serra explains: «Three out of four accidents occur in clear weather conditions and are due to imprudence and distraction, often caused by the use of cell phones».
