This morning, Sassari local police dismantled an illegal campsite between Lake Baratz and Porto Ferro. The small structure lacked a permit and failed to comply with legal hygiene and safety standards .
The Municipal Police took action at 7:00 a.m. today, following the completion of reports and investigations conducted over the past few days, and issued notices of illegal camping to those present. Violators were also fined €500 , while tents and all camping equipment were seized at the Police Station on Via Carlo Felice.
"Environmental protection, but also the safety of individuals and the community, begins with respect for the rules," emphasizes Pierluigi Salis, Deputy Mayor and Councilor for Ecological Transition, Land Protection, and Urban Decor. "Certain behaviors are unacceptable and violate the most basic rules for safeguarding our natural heritage," he declares, "whose enjoyment must be guaranteed to everyone under equal conditions and in absolute safety."
