Water disruptions will occur tomorrow, Wednesday, November 4, in Sassari . The water supply disruption is the result of extraordinary maintenance work being carried out by the Sardinian Water Authority along the Coghinas 2 aqueduct, which supplies raw water to the Abbanoa water treatment plants in Truncu Reale (serving Sassari, Porto Torres, and Stintino) and Monte Agnese (serving Alghero). This will disrupt supplies to the water treatment plants, which will be partially remedied by alternative sources of supply. At the same time, to avoid further closures later, Abbanoa teams have scheduled the installation of new equipment on the Monte Oro - Li Punti supply pipeline and the Predda Niedda branch line for tomorrow.

In Sassari, the outage will be from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. tomorrow in the neighborhoods and areas exclusively supplied by Truncu Reale through the Monte Oro reservoir and pipeline: Centro Storico, Monte Rosello Basso, Sacro Cuore, Latte Dolce, Santa Maria di Pisa, Porcellana, Piandanna, Caniga, Bancali - La Landrigga, Li Punti, Sant'Orsola Nord, Sant'Orsola Storica, Ottava, and in the Predda Niedda Industrial Zone.

No water will be available from 8:00 PM Wednesday to 8:00 AM Thursday in the areas served by the Via Milano reservoir , which is fed by the Bidighinzu water treatment plant with supplementary water from Truncu Reale via the Ponte Rosello pump: Lu Fangazzu, San Paolo, San Giuseppe, Cappuccini, Monserrato, Porcellana Alta, Tingari, Monte Rosello Medio, Sassari 2, Badde Pedrosa, Monte Furru, Valle Gardona, and Gioscari. There will be no interruptions in the areas supplied by the Quota 300 reservoir in Serra Secca, which is only partially fed by Truncu Reale: Luna e Sole, Prunizzedda, Monte Rosello Alto, and Carbonazzi.
