Water disruption in Sassari and surrounding municipalities on Tuesday 20 and Wednesday 21 May. Enas will have to carry out some work, for approximately 36 hours, along the Coghinas 2 aqueduct that supplies raw water to the Abbanoa water purification plants in Truncu Reale (serving Sassari, Porto Torres and Stintino), Castelsardo (also serving Tergu) and, for several months, also the Pedra Majore water purification plant (serving Valledoria, Badesi, Santa Maria Coghinas, Viddalba and Trinità d'Agultu) normally supplied by another Enas line, “Coghinas 1”, currently undergoing maintenance work.

The planned works concern the remediation interventions that Enas is carrying out with the investment of PNRR funds. At the same time, to avoid a further closure, the Sardinian Water Authority will also carry out the elimination of a leak in the La Ciccia area, in Castelsardo, on a section of the pipeline with a diameter of 1.4 meters. To contain the inconvenience, the action plan defined by the Region with Enas, Abbanoa and the Consorzio di Bonifica della Nurra will be operational, which will allow for the guarantee of an alternative supply from the Cuga reservoir to the Truncu Reale water purification plant in Sassari . A supply of 400 liters per second will be guaranteed, equal to 40% of the ordinary needs of the plant.

Sassari. 24-hour supply in the neighborhoods exclusively supplied by Truncu Reale through the Monte Oro reservoir and pipeline (Historic Center, lower Monte Rosello, Sacro Cuore, Latte Dolce, Santa Maria di Pisa, Porcellana and Piandanna);

24-hour supply in the neighborhoods supplied by the Monte Fiocca gravity pipeline: Li Punti, San Giovanni, Sant'Orsola, Caniga, La Landrigga, Bancali, Ottava, San Quirico, San Giorgio, Predda Niedda and the Bancali prison;

24-hour supply In the areas supplied by the Quota 300 reservoir of Serra Secca, only partially fed by Truncu Reale (Luna e Sole, Prunizzedda and Monte Rosello Alto and Carbonazzi).

In the areas served by the reservoir on Via Milano, fed by the Bidighinzu water purification plant with integration from Truncu Reale via the Ponte Rosello lifting station (Lu Fangazzu, San Paolo, San Giuseppe, Monserrato, Tingari, Monte Rosello medio, Sassari 2, Badde Pedrosa, Monte Furru Valle Gardona and Gioscari), night-time shut-offs will be carried out on Monday from 11pm to 6am to accumulate as many supplies as possible, on Tuesday from 4pm to 6am, on Wednesday from 10pm to 6am and on Thursday from 11pm to 6am to restore levels after the interruption due to Enas work.

Porto Torres . Residential area: service closed from 6am on Tuesday to 6pm on Wednesday.

Serra Li Pozzi district: water supply will be closed from 3:00 a.m. Tuesday to 6:00 p.m. Wednesday. Abbanoa technicians will simultaneously perform three interventions to activate the new pipes along via Gramsci and install new equipment in via Sassari and via Vittorio Emanuele. Starting from 9:00 a.m. Tuesday and until the emergency is over, the replacement service with water tankers will be operational in front of the sports field and the church of San Gavino.

Stintino . Center: supply guaranteed by the stocks accumulated in the municipal storage tanks. Pozzo San Nicola and Agro: Supply closure from 2:00 pm on Tuesday to 6:00 pm on Wednesday.

Alghero . Power supply from Cuga activated for the Monte Agnese water purification plant: no restrictions will be applied.

Castelsardo . Water supply will be closed from 3:00 on Tuesday to 18:00 on Wednesday. Abbanoa technicians will simultaneously replace a section of the water mains in Li Russi. Starting from 9:00 on Tuesday and until the emergency is over, the replacement service with water tankers will be operational in Piazza La Pianedda and in the Papillon car parks in Lu Bagnu.

Tergu and Viddalba . The supply will be guaranteed by the use of local wells.

Valledoria, Santa Maria Coghinas, Badesi and Trinità d'Agultu . Closure of supply from 4pm Tuesday to 6pm Wednesday.
