Tour of the council in the neighborhoods of Sassari. The executive led by mayor Giuseppe Mascia has been meeting citizens for some time to establish direct contact with residents and receive their problems.
After the tour of Latte Dolce and Santa Maria di Pisa, yesterday it was the turn of Rizzeddu-Monserrato in a crowded meeting in the hall of the church of Don Bosco in via Washington promoted by the Committee chaired by Gianni Pinna. The interface with the administration allowed to vent the problems of a community that feels it has been abandoned.
People also angry about the 46-year-old woman hit yesterday on the crosswalk in via Rockefeller and who have brought up the issue of some choices on traffic that are often incomprehensible and, in their opinion, dangerous, made in recent months. The absence, as in other parts of the city, of meeting places for young people and, in particular, for the elderly weighs heavily. In this sense, the closure of the Auser point, carried out by the previous civic council, has left many open wounds.
"I didn't agree with the method - the mayor declared - but it's clear that there were problems". The major critical issues concern the buildings that, in part, are municipal and in part Area. On some of the latter, for example the one on via Washington, there are many protests for the dilapidation and the accumulation of telephone antennas that residents fear could have repercussions on their health.
However, these are not the responsibility of the Municipality but of the regional body. The mayor promised the attention of his council but not miracles for which the financial resources and personnel to act are lacking.
"Over the years - Mascia said - we have lost dozens of employees in the Municipality". The general impression is that the difficulties of the different neighborhoods and districts are often similar and that the councils in charge must plug the emergencies most of the time without being able to plan long-term. Today the council meetings will continue with the Li Punti committee.
