Chase in Sassari between a police car and a man on board a stolen Fiat .

Shortly before 1pm, the thief crashed into the kerb in Piazza Sant'Antonio , in the historic centre, before fleeing on foot.

On site were the head of the Flying Squad, Virginia Martinazzi, and the forensic team.
