He gets out of his van to refill the H24 gas station and it's stolen. It happened on Via Lobina in Sassari last month, near an ATP bus shelter. Yesterday, a thirty-year-old from Sassari, under investigation for robbery, was questioned in court before investigating judge Giuseppe Grotteria.

According to the charges, the man, having seen the operator busy with the vending machine, jumped into the vehicle and fled, despite the employee holding on to the door handle to stop him. The alleged thief allegedly took €370 in takings, the company cell phone, and the victim's personal belongings. The mobile squad immediately began tracking him down and found the van containing the victim's cell phone 600 meters away on Via Ortobene, while another portion of the stolen goods was found in the Sant'Orsola area.

According to prosecutor Gianni Caria, the suspect should be jailed and there is no doubt about his identity, having been identified by witness statements and video surveillance. However, defense attorney Raffaele Rocco believes there is no certainty that his client is responsible, as what was captured by the cameras is unclear. The preliminary investigations judge has reserved the decision on the appropriate measures.
