The men were sent for trial in Sassari for arbitrary exercise of their rights and impersonation.
According to the charges, two men from Sassari attempted to unlawfully reclaim their home, which had been rented to a 93-year-old woman who had lived there for 20 years . In 2023, according to the indictment, they submitted a request to Enel to terminate the contract using an email address created by them in the woman's name, attaching her customer code and a copy of her identity card . This was a way, the prosecutor's office believes, to force the 93-year-old to leave the home.
The woman, finding herself without electricity, learned of the disconnection from the authority , suspecting the involvement of the homeowners, with whom relations had deteriorated for some time . She then filed a complaint, represented by the lawyer Giacomo Baralla, while the two defendants are being represented by Pietro Piras. Judge Monia Adami ordered the two to be tried in court yesterday.
