It happened in Sassari, where the Carabinieri responded to a report to 112 and, after carrying out their investigations, arrested a man on charges of mistreatment towards family members.
According to the reconstruction, the suspect, following an altercation with his parents, and in a highly altered state, likely due to alcohol, grabbed a bottle of gasoline and threatened to set fire to his mother's face and the family car. Despite the intervention of the Carabinieri, he continued to intimidate his father and mother, even feigning assault, which was prevented by the officers.
The investigation subsequently revealed that the man had been habitually and systematically engaging in aggressive and threatening behavior toward his parents for approximately six months, forcing them to live in a constant state of terror and fear for their personal safety. The man, acting on orders from the Public Prosecutor's Office, was arrested and held in the Sassari Police Station.
