Arrested red-handed by the Carabinieri in Sassari on Thursday, May 28, for possession of narcotics with intent to sell.
Carabinieri officers stopped a man who was displaying unexplained agitation and subjected him to a search. The search uncovered approximately 100 grams of marijuana, hidden by the suspect, as well as €540 in cash, presumed to be the proceeds of drug dealing.
Following searches of the home and a nearby warehouse, the Carabinieri found a cellophane package containing approximately 230 grams of marijuana and another 85 grams of hashish, as well as precision scales and various materials suitable for packaging individual doses.
The material has been seized and the suspect is currently awaiting a validation hearing.
