Sassari: Local police conduct night patrols in the historic center, arresting one person.

Stops and checks were carried out last night in Sassari during a local police operation.

From 11:00 PM until after 3:00 AM today, Sunday, June 21st, officers moved through the alleys of Sassari Vecchia, checking documents and conducting a series of checks on vehicles. One person was stopped for drug possession , carrying a significant sum of cash, and was then taken to the station on Via Carlo Felice.

The nighttime intervention by local police is the second in a short time, and comes after recent incidents of brawls and beatings that have recently emerged in the historic center.
