Tragedy in Sassari .

A 78-year-old, Giovanni Fiori, was hit and killed by a scooter in Corso Vico, in the historic center of the city.

It happened around 5 pm: according to the first reconstructions, the man was crossing the street at via Gazometer, apparently far from the pedestrian crossing, when he was run over by a Beverly 300 driven by a 35-year-old.

The injuries sustained in the impact were too serious : rescued by a 118 team, the pensioner arrived conscious at the Santissima Annunziata hospital, in red code, but died after a few minutes.

The agents of the local police of Sassari are investigating the dynamics of the accident. The magistrate on duty ordered the autopsy.

Fiori was separated and had two children.
