The State Police conducted a high-impact operation yesterday in the historic center of Sassari . The operation, coordinated by Michele Mecca, head of the Sassari Flying Squad, aimed at combating widespread crime and ensuring public safety in the most sensitive areas of the old city.
The operation involved personnel from the Flying Squad, supported by the Flying Squad and the Sardinia Crime Prevention Unit in Abbasanta, assisted for the occasion by the canine unit. Over fifty people were identified, and several were reported to the competent authorities .
The checks led to the discovery of several cutting weapons, including knives, and large quantities of narcotic substances, specifically hashish, marijuana and cocaine .
