Five years in prison. This is the sentence requested yesterday in court in Sassari by prosecutor Maria Paola Asara against a 39-year-old woman from the hinterland accused of mistreating her minor daughter. According to the prosecutor's reconstruction, the defendant's conduct has been proven, as she directed a series of insults and threats at the minor over the years, often communicated via social media, including through fake profiles.

The woman allegedly neglected her daughter from a very young age, abandoning her to the care of her mother, the injured party's grandmother. Humiliation, insults, and humiliation are said to have characterized the relationship between the two, which also included the young woman's grandmother. According to the charges, the grandmother and great-grandmother were beaten and threatened on multiple occasions in front of the minor. The bulk of the allegations center on the copious text messages sent to the teenager, which frequently recur about an inheritance.

"When your grandmother is no longer here," one of the messages reportedly said, "you'll have nothing left, you'll be a ragamuffin wandering the streets." "You're a burden, a scoundrel who should be crushed as soon as possible," the charges quote as saying. The woman, who called her daughter "Buscetta," presumably referring to the mafia informer, wrote the woman. The plaintiff, represented by attorney Graziella Meloni, alleges there was "a malicious and sadistic intent to cause moral and psychological harm" to the teenager.

The lawyer, who requested €5,000 in provisional damages, also noted that the defendant was stripped of parental rights by a ruling from the Juvenile Court. The woman was represented by lawyers Rodolfo Lima and Giancarlo Di Martino. The panel, chaired by Giancosimo Mura, with Sara Pelicci and Stefania Mosca-Angelucci on his side, adjourned the case until the end of the month for further responses and a ruling.
