Thieves sometimes return to the scene of the theft. Last night, a 30-year-old man from Sassari broke into a city apartment and, in the homeowners' absence, stole jewelry, books, a cell phone, and several ornaments .

After having disappeared, he thought it would be a good idea to return a few hours later and increase his loot, but this time he was caught and arrested by officers from the Flying Squad of the State Police.

The man was taken by police to the Sassari courthouse today for a fast-track hearing, where he was represented by lawyer Marco Palmieri. Judge Marta Guadalupi ordered the man to sign in at the end of the deliberation.
