More families, but fewer members, in Sassari. This is one of the details in the Municipality's 2025 demographic report, drawn from the registry office and civil status archives.

As of six months ago, there were 61,091 families, 309 more than in 2021. However, looking at the average number of members per household, the figure shrinks: from 2.04 five years ago to two members today. Single-person households are increasing, reaching 28,204 (46.2% of the total). There is a slight increase in two-person households, while three-person households are in free fall. There are 3,500 single-person households with citizens over 80, of whom 2,702 are women.

The majority of "two-person" families are husband-wife, but 36.4% are parent-child families. The number of unmarried couples with one child among three-person households is growing : 880 in 2021, 1,092 in 2025.

The number of families, including a husband and wife and three minor children, is decreasing: from 283 in 2021 to 197 in 2025 out of a total of 1078 (574 of which are made up of a husband, wife and three minor and adult children).
