Two sentences of 12 years each, yesterday in court in Sassari , for human trafficking and exploitation of prostitution.
The jury presided over by Massimo Zaniboni, alongside Valentina Nuvoli, pronounced the sentence in the Court of Assizes, for an affair that dates back to the second half of 2015. When two Nigerians, Anthony Ebuehi, 44 years old, and Joy Idahor, 42 years old, would have done arrive from Africa a 27-year-old compatriot and then, once she arrives in Sassari, reduce her to a state of psycho-physical vulnerability with the aim of forcing her into prostitution.
The two, respectively defended by the lawyer Carlo Pinna Parpaglia and Salvatore Masia, were sentenced to a total of 24 years.
However, there is no place to proceed for the other two defendants, Ella Ryan, 34 years old, and Oghogo Idagor, 36 years old, assisted by the lawyer Maria Lia Basoli and the lawyer Carlo Pinna Parpaglia. The defenders of the two convicted men have already announced their intention to appeal.
