Shouts and clashes on Via Antonio Cicu in Sassari. Local residents report that the kindergarten, closed for years , is hosting unedifying and potentially dangerous "performances." "Several people live there," they say, "despite the building being padlocked."

Fights among the school's residents are frequent : " They fight each other with clubs, sticks, and shards of glass, shouting like madmen ." But the screams are sometimes female. "We heard a woman screaming and crying." The atmosphere described seems to be marked by frequent alcohol use, and perhaps not only that. But the degradation is evident from what can be seen . Rubbish, in fact, occupies the school's entrance and is strewn around the perimeter of the site.

"Sometimes we see them dumping the contents of nearby dumpsters on themselves to get what they need." And those who live nearby complain about frequent thefts, especially of laundry taken from drying racks. "We've been reporting this situation for years," they conclude, "why doesn't anyone intervene?"
