Sassari, collision between cars in the center: near tragedy, two little girls in hospital
The cause of the violent crash was a failure to give way, yet another in an area that is often the scene of accidents despite the speed limit of 30 km per hourTragedy almost touched in Sassari on Christmas evening . Yesterday two cars collided violently due to a failure to give way in the centre, at the intersection between via Zanfarino and via Torres. The worst victims were two girls aged 5 and 10, who were traveling with their parents and were both taken by 118 ambulances to the emergency room of the Santissima Annunziata hospital .
After the tests, fortunately the doctors reassured them about their conditions. The local police also intervened on the scene, the drivers of the two cars, a Ford and a Peugeot, both tested negative for alcohol.
Despite the repeated recommendations of the municipal police, this is yet another accident in that part of the city, again due to broken stop signs and failure to give precedence in a 30 zone, where the permitted limit - and often exceeded - is 30 km timetables .
Less than 100 meters from the site of yesterday's collision last September, a similar accident claimed the life of a 48-year-old woman , and also on the evening of Christmas Eve two people were injured in the area due to the collision between two cars.
