Sassari, cleanup in the historic center: 5 kg of cigarette butts collected

Five kilograms of cigarette butts were collected in Sassari by Plastic Free volunteers. Over the past few days, 14 people gathered on Via al Rosello to clean up the area and send a message to residents and citizens. In collaboration with the Farmacia al Rosello and the San Donato merchants' association, the volunteers collected the waste amidst widespread disbelief and pessimism, believing the butts will return to the same state.

The volunteers, led by Serena Solinas, Martina Marongiu, Roberto Manca, and Angelo Azara, continued their work, adding this to the many initiatives they've undertaken recently throughout the city, the suburbs, and Porto Ferro.
