Cell phone and charger hidden in the rectum . The proceedings against three people accused of unauthorized access to devices suitable for communication by detainees opened in the court of Sassari in recent days .

The defendants had come into possession of a mobile phone and its essential charger through the action of a 46-year-old from Usini who had hidden them in his anal orifice once he entered the Tomasiello prison in Alghero in 2023. The instrument was shared with two other 36-year-old companions in the facility , one from Cagliari and one from Alghero. The trio made numerous phone calls and exchanged messages and certainly could have continued for a long time if the police had not started to wiretap the girlfriend of one of the three for an incident involving another Sardinian prison.

At that point, the possession of the cell phone was discovered which, in order not to be found by the prison police officers, had been hidden in the rectum by an inmate for over two months together with the charger and then taken out when it was necessary to use it as needed.

The proceedings were opened before Judge Valentina Nuvoli and the defense lawyers are Paolo Spano, Carlo Foddai and Federica Atzeni.
