Carrefour revokes the brand from some supermarkets in Sassari after the vicissitudes that occurred with the franchising company MMF Food. And it is precisely the latter who communicated this with an email in which it reported the French group's desire not to continue commercial relations, a decision which would force MMF Food to interrupt «permanently all working relationships from 17 June as well as the local units currently outstanding".

Bad news therefore for employees who will now, as the company suggests, be able to ask for social safety nets. This would seem to end a story that promised something completely different on March 25, when there was the acquisition by MMF Food of four sales points with 38 workers who became employees of the company emerging from the Cobec bankruptcy procedure. However, the context subsequently became so complicated that it led to an official protest with the strike called by CGIL Filcams after a series of steps contested by the union.

Because on April 24, as reported by the social partners, the company called a meeting with 25 selected workers, who were asked to voluntarily resign from MMF Food with the assurance of being hired by Cds which seemed to take over the management of the supermarkets in via Baldedda, Astronauti, Gorizia and Diaz.

Step accepted while, however, according to Cgil Filcams, some workers continued to be forced to go on holiday. After the strike, there was no response from the company while in the meantime salaries, the union declares, stop and the last advance payment dates back to May 23rd. Until the epilogue of the last few days which does not bode well for the future.
