Wide-ranging checks by the Guardia di Finanza of Sassari in the last 4 months . Checks also born due to the strong increase in Italian and foreign tourists in the accommodation facilities of the province.
And precisely on the restaurant business and the phenomenon of undeclared work, the yellow flames have put a lens finding multiple violations of the law. Out of 44 commercial activities checked, 27 were found to be in order but 30 undeclared workers employed by 17 employers were also discovered.
In a restaurant in Gallura, 9 illegal workers were discovered. Many of them are Italian (25), 5 are foreigners from Morocco, Germany, Mauritius and Egypt. A huge fine for employers, ranging from a minimum of 1950 euros to a maximum of 11700 for each illegal worker.
Fines of over 58 thousand euros were issued, and in addition, for 4 businesses, the suspension of commercial activities was proposed to the Territorial Labor Inspectorate, a measure taken when the employment of undeclared personnel equal to or greater than 10% of the workers present in the workplace is ascertained.
