Works for lots 3 and 4 of the Sassari-Alghero line were awarded by Anas . This was announced by Mario Bruno , former mayor of Alghero who fought so hard to overcome the constraints that risked not completing the important road, much awaited in Northern Sardinia.

Lots 3 and 4 concern the sections from Ruadas to Alghero, including the ring road, and between the Olmedo junction and Fertilia airport , and completely complete the four-lane road. Once the lots have been awarded, the contract must be signed, so work should begin shortly.

The former mayor claims "the tireless action of reminders, complaints and protests" implemented over the years, which "had its outcome" and will "finally" lead to the completion of a "shameful unfinished business" .

And he recalls the very long process: «In 2014 we found the resources with Sblocca Italia, then we overcame the resistance during the environmental impact assessment phase and obtained all the authorisations, including the final opinion of the Council of Ministers, which in 2019 took over every decision."
