A sleepless night for Enzo and Alessia Nappi, the 25-year-old girl, 5 weeks pregnant, who lost her baby after last Saturday morning she was rejected by the emergency room of the obstetric clinic of the San Pietro di Sassari hospital, because without a molecular swab, which not even the clinic itself had.
The young woman then, in excruciating pain, had a miscarriage. A sad and cruel story, which aroused deep indignation in public opinion and had a wide echo also in the national press.
The couple, through the lawyer Gabriele Sechi, decided to file a complaint about the incident. "But we don't want money, mind you and I want to clarify it", Alessia reiterates on the phone today. "I lost the baby and those minutes were terrible. It will be difficult to forget them. Now I am being treated by a psychologist to overcome these moments. . But I would like everyone to know that I strongly believe in medicine. I have had two Covid vaccines and I am waiting for the third. But what happened to me is unheard of and must no longer happen. I know that there are many doctors and nurses who are good, that they do their duty and are under pressure. In my case, however, a minimum of humanity was lacking. So, together with my husband, we want clarity and also look forward. We will look for - he concludes - with great love another child. Life goes on " .
