Sassari, after a 26-year-old man fell ill and rushed to the hospital, an investigation has been opened into his death.

The Prosecutor's Office has opened an investigation into the death of a 26-year-old in Sassari.

The young man had fallen ill a few days ago and was immediately taken to the hospital where, having arrived in serious condition, he unfortunately lost his life.

The State Police, coordinated by the Public Prosecutor's Office, has opened an investigation into the death.

An autopsy has been ordered on the victim's body, and has already been performed by coroner Valentina Piredda. The results of the examination are unknown.
