A Sassari municipal official pleads guilty to stalking. This morning in court, the request for one year and 10 months, submitted by prosecutor Ermanno Cattaneo and defense attorney Nicola Lucchi, was accepted by preliminary hearing judge Sergio De Luca.

The court ordered that the man spend the time in a social cooperative. The man was accused of having attempted, on several occasions over the past year, to approach a woman with whom he had developed an unrequited crush. He called her several times and made death threats if she didn't show up to him. On several occasions, he had shown up outside the victim's apartment.

The man was also accused of attempting to break into the woman's home. The plaintiff's lawyer, Stefano Chessa, was representing the woman.
