Meal vouchers, tablets, and iPods. This is part of the loot stolen yesterday in Sassari by a 38-year-old man arrested by local police. According to preliminary investigations, the man allegedly committed the theft from a car parked near Via Caprera.

However, officers caught him in the lower part of the historic center while he was attempting to dispose of the stolen goods and arrested him. This isn't the first time the man has been stopped, particularly recently. He became "famous" because, in January of this year, he was chased by the mayor of Sassari, Giuseppe Mascia, after he discovered that the 38-year-old had stolen a wallet forgotten in a car on Via Minzoni.

The validation hearing was held today in the Sassari court, where the man was represented by lawyer Vittorio Campus. The man, who has recently committed several crimes, was already under house arrest. This measure was confirmed pending the decisions of the judge who is handling all the suspect's other cases.
