A 40-year-old woman was found dead in via San Sisto in the historic center of Sassari .

According to what transpires, the person was found in the apartment on the first floor where she lived alone, in the bathroom on her side, perhaps having fallen ill, presumably for about 5 days .

The Carabinieri and local police are currently on site. The death was thought to be due to natural causes .
