This is the request made yesterday in court in Sassari by prosecutor Andrea Giganti against two Sassarese citizens accused of conspiracy to steal.
In 2017, the six allegedly broke into a city art gallery, breaking through the metal fence, and stealing paintings by renowned contemporary Sardinian artists such as Costantino Spada, Salvatore Delitala, and Umberto Spera. The accused also stole not only art but also liquor.
During the hearing before Judge Caterina Serra, the defense also stated their clients' innocence. The lawyers are Marco Palmieri, Elisabetta Udassi, Marco Manca, Marco Cubeddu, and Giuseppe Onorato. Sentencing is scheduled for December 15th.
