Sartiglia: here are the rules to be respected during the procession that precedes the knights of the joust
To participate, you must submit your application by February 10thSimple make-up, no colored nail polish but no piercings, watches on the wrist, extravagant earrings, visible tattoos. No to hairstyles that are not appropriate for the event such as braids. Another rule: it is absolutely forbidden to smoke, chew chewing gum, use telephones and have drinks in your hand. Behaviors that slow down or interrupt the parade are prohibited.
On the occasion of the Sartiglia the procession in Sardinian costume also returns, a nice sight before seeing the knights of the joust parade. However, those who participate must respect precise rules, otherwise they will be excluded. This is what the Oristano Foundation decided, opening registration for the Sartiglia 2024 parade. Among the rules to be respected is also the use of footwear covered in red or black brocade, while women will instead have to wear a traditional style jewel around their neck. . The pins must be pinned to the black robe of the wedding costume, they must be black, those pinned to the white veil of the gala costume must be white. To participate, you must submit the application by 12pm on 10 February by filling out the form available at the Foundation's headquarters in Via Eleonora and on the website www.sartiglia.info.
Participants must show up by 12pm on Sunday 11th and Tuesday 13th February at the meeting point in via Solferino. After the parade in via Duomo, the procession will meet again at 3.30 pm in Piazza Eleonora to organize the parade in via Mazzini. Minors may only parade if accompanied by an adult in costume.
