Sardinia is gasping for air after the hottest summer ever but, fortunately, it is not suffering from thirst .

The island's basins hold a treasure trove , the legacy of a very generous winter in terms of rainfall. The average fill percentage is 73.3%, with peaks exceeding 80% in the Flumendosa system.

The Nurra is suffering from thirst: the Cuga is a puddle , due to the lack of a connection with the other basins and the lack of use of waste water.
