The Civil Protection has issued a new alert for high temperatures valid from Monday 10th to Wednesday 12th August , for all inland areas of the island, where thermometers – it is reported – will have peaks of up to 43 degrees , especially on the Ottana plain, in Logudoro and in Campidano.

The advice is to avoid going out during the hottest hours, between 12 and 6 pm, and to keep especially at-risk individuals, such as the elderly, children, and sick people, sheltered.
