Dinner or lunch to celebrate the New Year with an eye on typical local cuisine and the family budget , but without neglecting the delicacies.

According to estimates by the Research Office of Confartigianato Sardegna on December consumption, Sardinians' spending on food and drinks is 501 million euros, with an increase of 37 million.

The trend, unchanged, is to have dinner or lunch at home with friends and family, in a restaurant, trattoria, local, or farmhouse, to enjoy typical dishes created by agrichefs.

According to Coldiretti, in agritourism, as well as on Sardinian tables, " tradition wins once again in the menu choices . There will be no shortage of IGP lamb, suckling pig, fresh pasta, typical desserts, the queen of which is the seada which in some cases even surpasses panettone. Make way for the products of the Sardinian countryside, such as artichokes, mushrooms, citrus fruits and apples, as always artisanal cheeses and cured meats. Artisanal bread completes the shopping cart".

But the delivery formula is gaining ground, that is, ordering from appetizer to dessert, to bring delicacies and treats to the table at home. There is no shortage of auspicious dishes with lentils and pomegranates first and foremost.

In Cagliari, restaurant owners offer menus with prices starting from 50 euros and going up to 120 euros.
