Sardinia lacks blood for thalassemics: it arrives from Friuli Venezia Giulia

In Sardinia there is a shortage of blood for transfusions. And the plasma comes from Friuli Venezia Giulia. It always happens, because there is an agreement between the regions. But from the north-east "100 units were sent which, always for thalassemic patients, were delivered to Sardinia in addition to the standard agreement in place with that region".
The regional health councilor of FVG, Riccardo Riccardi, made this known, also speaking of a donation beyond the limits to another region in the south.
"Campania has issued an extraordinary request for 300 units of blood destined for thalassemic patients. A request for help to which Friuli Venezia Giulia responded immediately", explains the representative of the Giunta of Massimiliano Fedriga, "making 170 units available, of which 125 have already been sent".
To date, therefore, thanks to the extraordinary commitment of donors, "our system has been able to make available 225 units, also guaranteeing the conditions set out in the agreements with the National Blood Center."
