This very long summer tail in Sardinia could be winding down.
The anomalous heat will persist throughout the November 1st bridge on the island, then the temperatures will drop and the rains will arrive.
According to the meteorological office of the Decimomannu Air Force, these days there is a high pressure field on the Mediterranean basin which favors good weather. A disturbance in Northern Italy will touch Sardinia in a very marginal way, from the evening of Monday 31. Only a little cloudiness, but no rain and still high temperatures .
The real change "is expected from 3 November with a colder area descent and moderate instability, more marked in the western sector of Sardinia", they explain from the weather office.
From Friday 4, with the arrival of the mistral (intensity between 50 and 60 km per hour) the temperatures will decrease, while remaining slightly above the average for the period: about 3 degrees more, 7 degrees higher than the average which instead characterized October 2022.
The mistral will blow until Saturday 5th, but already from the evening there will be a worsening and from Monday 7th the rains will also arrive , especially in the western part of Sardinia.
