The judicial year of the Sardinian accounting magistracy has been inaugurated.

From the reports of the president, Donata Cabras , and the regional prosecutor, Maria Elisabetta Locci , it emerged that the activity of the Court of Auditors of Sardinia has increased, in the face of a worrying lack of staff.

In 2024, 111 sentences were issued (+30% compared to 2023), of which 61 were convictions for damages to the treasury of approximately 7.9 million euros .

Strong criticism of the ongoing reform of the Court of Auditors, with the risk of weakening the system of controls and the protection of legality in the territories. Critical reflection also on the so-called "fear of signature" by public administrators.

The real problem – it has been said – is not the excessive responsibility of managers but the abnormal production of unclear rules that increasingly hinder administrative action.
