Alpine Rescue in action in the Santu Lussurgiu countryside to rescue a 58-year-old woman from Dolianova who was injured during an excursion.
The woman was trekking with a group of friends in the Riu Tumbarinu area but, due to severe pain in her leg, she was unable to continue. So the alarm went off at the Operations Center of the Alpine and Speleological Rescue, which immediately sent a team already in the area.
After being stabilized, the hiker was transported on a stretcher to the main road, where the doctors of the Shardana Soccorso association took charge of her, transporting her by ambulance to the San Martino di Oristano hospital.
The Forestry Corps has also entered into action.
