Moments of great apprehension in the late morning today in the countryside of Santu Lussurgiu for an accident in which Salvatore Deriu, a 60-year-old breeder, was involved. The man was "charged" by a calf that hit him violently on the head.

Shortly after the alarm was raised, 118 ambulances arrived on site and the rescuers immediately realized the seriousness of the situation, so much so that the intervention of the air rescue was requested. The sixty-year-old was urgently transferred by an Areus helicopter to the Santissima Annunziata hospital in Sassari: he suffered a serious head trauma and is being monitored by doctors .

The Carabinieri of Santu Lussurgiu also intervened in the company and started investigations to reconstruct the dynamics of the accident at work. The news created a certain apprehension in the community, Salvatore Deriu is very well known, already known also to the police with a somewhat stormy past and various legal problems behind him .
