It is not only the fishermen of Santa Giusta who want to understand what happened last year in the Pesaria fish pond, where 150 grids were completely corroded after a few months of being installed in the water.
During the Christmas holidays , the fishermen who manage the lagoon on behalf of the Region received an unexpected visit from the Guardia di Finanza. However, in their offices there was no documentation regarding the renovation work on the fish pond. This is what the Fiamme Gialle soldiers were evidently looking for. This is why shortly after the soldiers arrived at the gates of the Unione del Comuni dei Fenici, the client and responsible for the renovation work.
Davide Dessì, mayor of Siamaggiore and president of the Union of Municipalities until December 31, speaks about the ongoing checks: «I only know that they wanted information on the project to reclaim the fish pond. The Technical Office of the Union took care of the matter».
The renovation work, awaited for 30 years, was carried out thanks to one million euros financed by the Region as part of the Territorial Programming. The iron frames of the structure showed enormous holes after a few months of installation. But the grids also wore out immediately. Last June, the Union had the material analyzed in a specialized center in Modena. It emerged that the steel used was that required by the tender specifications. However, the story apparently continues.
