Disinfestation in homes, gardens, streets and pine forests.

In Santa Giusta, people are taking action both in the town center and on the outskirts after a 77-year-old man, who had been hospitalized for days at the San Martino hospital in Oristano, contracted West Nile virus.

The province, in collaboration with the Municipality and local police officers, has been busy for two days with the disinfestation of the areas around the house where the elderly man lives.

The intervention was also carried out in the area where the fassonis regatta will take place today, an event that will bring many people to the lagoon.

Meanwhile, there is a lot of concern in the town: "Everything is under control - assures the deputy mayor Pier Paolo Erbi - but we understand the fear of those who live in those parts and not only. It is a scary virus, that's why the province intervened immediately. Now the water in the saucers of the houses will also be analyzed. Many citizens call us for information on the matter, they want to know how to behave. The disinfestations will not stop. Obviously we ask everyone to follow the basic rules such as avoiding stagnant water".
