On the occasion of the 369th edition of the Feast of Sant'Efisio, scheduled for Thursday 1 May 2025, Trenitalia is strengthening its rail service to facilitate the influx of participants to Cagliari.

In fact, there will be 12 extraordinary trains put into circulation by the company Il Regionale, part of the Trenitalia Group, to facilitate connections between the capital and various locations on the island. The lines affected by the enhancement are the Cagliari-San Gavino-Oristano and the Cagliari-Domusnovas/Carbonia Serbariu.

With over 2,500 additional seats compared to the ordinary service, the initiative aims to respond to the high demand for transport expected for one of the most heartfelt religious and popular events in Sardinia.

The enhancement is part of the measures adopted to ensure a more accessible and sustainable experience for the many pilgrims, tourists and citizens expected in Cagliari for the historic procession in honor of the Saint.
