A worker was the victim of an accident at work this evening in the Sant'Antonio di Gallura area along Provincial Road 38 (Monte Pino). According to Carabinieri investigations, the man fell from a height of approximately 6 meters while working on a ladder leaning against a pylon.
The impact with the ground was particularly violent. The worker was immediately rescued by colleagues who called 118.
According to initial assessments carried out at the hospital in Olbia, where the accident victim was transferred by helicopter, the injuries and fractures reported are not serious and the man's life is not in danger.
Investigations began immediately to determine the cause of the fall and, in particular, to determine whether accident prevention measures were adhered to. Labor inspectors from the Local Health Authority (Spresal) are also investigating the accident.
