Remove waste from the beach of Is Benas, in the San Vero Milis area: it is the one dedicated to those who love to enjoy the sea in total freedom without wearing clothing. In short: nudists.

Yesterday the Italian Naturist Association took action to eliminate all the waste present on the coast.

«First of all, the event is a sign of gratitude», states Giampietro Tentori, president of the association, «towards the mayor Luigi Tedeschi, who for years has shown himself to be attentive to the needs of the naturist world and believes that this lifestyle can be an opportunity for Sardinian tourism. Being naturist for us also means taking care of the places that host us and trying to involve more and more people in these cleansing events. Involving the people who are on the beach to collect left or forgotten rubbish with tongs is a gesture of great civility. Restoring the beauty and cleanliness of such a beach is a moral and civic duty."

At the end of the morning's work, the volunteers, around twenty in total, collected around 25 quintals of waste, mainly plastic, as well as a fridge and some jerry cans. An aperitif with the volunteers and users of the beach crowned this beautiful initiative. But not only.

Now the bet of the Italian Naturist Association is to be able to build a monitoring group with some of the naturist beach goers, both to guarantee decorum and give continuity to these cleaning interventions, and to give information to the many tourists who have lucky enough to be in this wonderful corner of Sardinia. «We cannot forget to thank the members who attended from all over Sardinia and the Vosma volunteers, Salvatore Pinna and Gabriele Falchi», concludes the president, «who guaranteed the transport of waste from the beach to the landfill».
