San Teodoro, fire near La Cinta: a farm evacuated, flames shooting toward cars. Two Canadairs in flight.

The Forestry Corps is responding to a fire that broke out in San Teodoro in the Petrinieddi area between the Suaredda subdivision and La Cinta beach.

To fight the flames, two Canadairs and a Super Puma helicopter are operating from above.

The fire has been declared an interface fire, meaning it also threatens homes. Three firefighting teams are responding to the scene. The blaze has affected several farms and vehicles parked near the beach.

The Carabinieri ordered the evacuation of a farm as a precaution. Teams from Forestas and Barracelli were also deployed.
