On Monday night, the Carabinieri of the San Sperate station arrested two young men, a 20-year-old resident of Decimomannu and a 21-year-old resident of Ussana, both unemployed, held responsible for the crime of possession of narcotics with intent to deal .

The two boys had been stopped for a routine check on the territory after a risky maneuver by the driver had attracted the attention of the police.

The behavior of the two individuals, aboard a rental car, immediately appeared suspicious to the Carabinieri, who therefore deemed it appropriate to proceed with a search of the vehicle.

Inside the latter, 12,000 euros were found, along with 52 grams of hashish and 17 grams of cocaine . Subsequently, the search operations were extended to the young men's homes, where another 346 grams of hashish were found, divided into blocks and wrappers, as well as precision scales and various packaging materials.

The two arrested men were held in the holding cells of the Iglesias barracks , awaiting trial with a fast-track trial scheduled for Tuesday morning.
