A woman was hit by a fuel tanker truck this morning at the traffic lights on Via Cagliari in San Sperate.

It is not yet clear whether she was riding a bicycle or pushing her vehicle across the road when the heavy vehicle hit her.

The woman suffered serious leg injuries. A helicopter also responded to the scene of the accident, but treatment was provided by 118 emergency responders, who arrived in an ambulance.

According to what has been learned, the wound is not life-threatening.
