San Sperate, an ultralight crashes: the pilot is seriously injured.

An ultralight aircraft taking off from the Decimoputzu airstrip crashed this morning in the countryside of San Sperate.

The pilot, a seventy-year-old from San Sperate, suffered numerous fractures in the impact but, according to reports, his life is not in danger: he was transported to Brotzu Hospital in Cagliari aboard the air ambulance.

Some witnesses reportedly saw the plane flying erratically: it cannot be ruled out that the pilot was taken ill while at the yoke.
