Samatzai, head-on collision on Provincial Road 5: one victim, mother and child trapped in wreckage

Fatal accident around 7am on Provincial Road 5 near Samatzai.

For reasons not yet determined , a Fiat 500 driven by a 61-year-old man from Guasila, Alberto Secci, who was killed instantly, and a Ford Fiesta carrying a mother and child collided head-on.

The woman in the Fiesta was trapped in the wreckage along with her 17-year-old son: the two were injured but their lives are not in danger.

118 and the firefighters from the Sanluri detachment intervened on site to free the people trapped in the car, who were taken to hospital, and to recover the body of the victim for whom, unfortunately, the paramedics were unable to do anything .

The Carabinieri are carrying out the investigations.
