There are the products of the land, the recipes passed down from generation to generation, the crafts that endure and those seeking new paths. It is from this heritage, made of memory and future, that Saboris Antigus begins again, the event that has intertwined Trexenta and Sarcidano for thirteen years and which this year focuses on "Taste and Territories. Protagonists in First Person." Nine municipalities and nearly two months of events bring local culture and identity back to the forefront . Not just a simple food and wine showcase, but a journey entrusted above all to those who live and share these places every day: producers, families, artisans, and young people who have chosen to stay or return.

It begins in Gergei on October 25th. Then Selegas on October 31st and November 1st, Serri on November 8th, Siurgus Donigala on the 15th, Gesico on the 22nd, Suelli on the 29th. In December, it will be Guasila's turn on the 6th, Nurri on the 13th, and finally Mandas on the 20th for the final event. "The organizational machine for the thirteenth edition of Saboris Antigus has officially restarted, an event that, thanks to the Sentieri del Grano project, has become an important event for the promotion of our territories," emphasizes the mayor of Mandas, Umberto Oppus. Behind the products and recipes that will be featured throughout the various days are family stories, cultivations, and knowledge passed down over time. A journey in which the Cagliari-Oristano Chamber of Commerce continues to play a supporting role. "Saboris Antigus demonstrates how promoting local products can become a concrete tool for regional development," says the organization's secretary general, Cristiano Erriu.

This year, the caravan of flavors and traditions takes another step. After previous years' experiences with Crete and Dalmatia, the event looks to Turkey and Izmir, with a new twinning that broadens the dialogue to the Mediterranean dimension. "The connection stems from common elements: agriculture, wine, oil, local produce, and gastronomic traditions, but also aims to discuss ways to promote and enhance these places," explains Alessio Piras, mayor of Selegas and president of the Union of Municipalities of Trexenta. For the first time, the project will involve the international delegation, the Union of Trexenta, and the Sarcidano and Barbagia Mountain Community of Seulo. "The goal is to go beyond a simple food and wine exchange and address issues such as sustainability, quality of life, and local development," adds Paola Casula, mayor of Guasila and regional councilor. The international dialogue will therefore accompany an edition that maintains the formula established over recent years: nine countries, nine days, and a calendar that spans autumn until the December holidays. With the stoves lit, the houses open and the squares ready to fill.
